All CVs now have a contact form!

What does this mean and why is it needed?

Previously, if an employer found your CV on HMCV, there would have been no way of them contacting you without you placing some form of info on your CV (personal email, phone number etc.).

I know for one, that I am not happy with broadcasting my email/number to the internet and its (sometimes) devious ways.

Now we have included a form on every CV that employers can fill out and it will be sent to the email address that you supplied at account creation. This should avoid you getting spam but as you know life is not always that kind so if you do receive any non-job related emails: please let us know (on the forum is probably the best place) and we'll look into it.

As always, if you think the contact form requires something extra or you simply just don't understand, let us know and we'll be happy to help.

Yes, HeresMyCV.com has been renamed to HaveMyCV.com
This was done for several reasons but the main one was; to keep in with the same line as an upcoming HaveMyResume.com

HMR site will launch once HMCV has completed a few more its goals.

Once again, thanks to Pieterh for making this possible.

Oh, and don't fret if you've passed out your CV with the old domain, the link will still work.

You can now change the default font of your CV without having to re-write anything!

Simply add the appropriate tag and the font changes immediately.

There are only a couple to choose from at the moment (Times New Roman & Georgia) but more will arrive soon.

For those of you who would like to know the ins and outs of how this was accomplished, please read on…

OK, the tag passes an iftags command to the _template that releases a div class surrounding %%content%%. These classes are stored in CSS code on the fonts page (hidden, at the bottom). This is included in the main CSS via @import.
This is the easiest way I could see of doing it. If any of you wikidot gurus can see a better/simpler way to pull this off, I'll be happy to hear it.

Okay, well it's been a good couple of weeks, to say the least. From just a sparkle in my eye, HMCV has flourished to even having it's own domain name! (Thanks Pieter)

Over the coming weeks we hope to implement some of the great ideas that have been suggested and look forward to hearing some more. One of which, that I'm very excited about is the idea of various CV templates to get users started.

As always, let us know what you think and how we can help.
